2022.11.09(수) 표현정리
어제 배운 표현은 이미 다 알고 있는 단어들이어서 따로 정리하지 않았는데, 오늘 수업을 진행하다보니 나의 회화 선생님이 책에 나와있는 그대로의 표현을 이야기하지 않으면 다음으로 넘어가는 것을 허락하지 않는다는 것을 깨달았다,, 그래서 앞으로는 원활한 수업 진행을 위해 아는 단어여도 여기에 써놔야겠다고 생각했다.
<오늘의 표현>
1. In particular
: The phrase 'in particular' draws our attention to the most important of many similar things or to show that we are not making a general statement, but rather a comment about a particular thing.
->'in particular'은 비슷한 것들 중 가장 중요한 것이라고 주목시키기 위한 표현이다. 또는 일반적인 것보다 특별한 것에 대한 언급을 하는 것으로 주의를 끄는 표현이다.
2. Dynamic
: Someone or something that is 'dynamic' is very exciting and energetic.
-> 'dynamic'한 누군가 혹은 무엇은 매우 흥미를 끌거나 에너지가 넘치는 것이다.
3. Relatively
: We use the word 'relatively' to compare similar things.
-> 'relatively'는 비슷한 것들을 비교할 때 쓰는 말이다.
4. Tropical get-away
: A 'Tropical get-away' is the dream vacation for many people. It usually includes beaches, palm trees, sunny weather and none of the daily stress we often deal with.
-> 'Tropical get-away'는 많은 사람들이 꿈꾸는 휴가이다. 그것은 종종 해변가, 야자수들, 맑은 날씨 그리고 우리가 종종 처리해야 하는 매일의 스트레스가 없는 것을 포함한다.
5. Immigrate
: When we 'immigrate,' we leave our home country forever to live another country. It's a very serious change.
->immigrate은 다른 나라에서 살기 위해 본국을 영영 떠나는 것을 의미한다. 그것은 매우 큰 변화이다.
